144 MHz antenna system

At the beginning of the year, I decided to build an antenna system for EME in the 144 MHz band. The 432 MHz to 76 GHz bands are covered by parabolic antennas. However, in order to be able to meaningfully participate in the ARRL’s multiband—single operator category, it was also necessary to build a system for the 144 MHz band.

The following images and text document how this system was built. Special thanks to my friend Vašek OK3VM for his amazing help with the mechanical parts.

Calibrating the System to the Sun and Installing the H - Frame

This was followed by the installation of the Create 5C rotator and testing of the ARCO controller from Microham.

This was followed by the actual installation of the bracket and the lifting mechanism.

Subsequently, it was necessary to reinforce the corner angle frame of the container.

First, it was necessary to build the antenna mast bracket and the lifting mechanism itself. SW idea.
